Charlie Parr is set to play the first concert of the 2017 fall season for Grassroots Concerts in Nisswa at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 22 in the Live Well Night Club and Coffee Bar.

Grassroots Concerts fall schedule announced

                

 Five Friday night concerts have been scheduled for the fall 2017 season of Grassroots Concerts in the Live Well Night Club and Coffee Bar of the Journey Church at Nisswa.

Sept. 22 - CHARLIE PARR www.charlieparr.com

                

Born in Austin, Minn., Duluth-based Charlie Parr is a roots musician like no other today. "Parr is a folk artist for new American Dust Bowl, a resonator-ready troubadour with well-worn satchel of troubled tales that cut to the heart of a nation mired in fear and in dire need of a roots revival." -Acoustic Guitar

                

Oct. 13 - RITA HOSKING www.ritahosking.com

                

California-based Rita Hosking's fierce and captivating country-folk voice sings of culture clashes, dishes, forest fires, black holes and hope. Sally Barris is a Nashville songwriter whose songs have been covered by many top-level artists. Fans are equally impressed with her song writing and expressive mountain soprano conveyed in a bright spirit. The Live Well Nightclub and Coffee Bar is located in the Journey Church next to the school in Nisswa. Doors open at 6:30 and the music starts at 7:30 p.m. General admission is $10 at the door.
